The Lakeland Presbyterian Church Men’s Ministry

The Lakeland Presbyterian Church Men’s Ministry seeks to provide opportunities for men to gather together for fellowship and growth. LPC has the following regularly scheduled events for men:

Men’s Gathering

Our monthly meeting with fellowship supper and a guest speaker. Normally meets on the second Thursday of the month during the school year. Check the calendar of events for upcoming dates!

Men’s Prayer Breakfast

A great time to gather, eat and pray with other men for the church and for each other. Every week on Saturdays, 7:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary Kitchen. Come join us!

WOMEN’S WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY – Thursday, April 18th, from 9:30-11:00.

EMPTY NESTERS SMALL GROUP – Thursday, April 18th, at 6:00 pm, at LPC.

MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST – Saturday mornings at 7:30 in the LPC Sanctuary kitchen.

SUNDAY SCHOOL – Sunday mornings at 9:30 am.

NO CHOIR PRACTICE, CHILDREN OR SUNDAY NIGHT FELLOWSHIP – Sunday, April 21th

CRAWFISH BOIL – Sunday, April 21st, at 3:00 pm. Bring a chair & enjoy the evening with your church family. Serving: Crawfish with all the usual sides of corn, potatoes, etc. along with hamburgers and hotdogs for non-crawfish eaters. Sign-Up Online or call/email the church office! VBS VOLUNTEER MEETING – Wednesday, April 24th, at 7:00 pm. If you would like to volunteer at LPC’s 2024 VBS, email Tammy Davis (tdavis@lakelandpres.org) or fill out the insert in your Sunday bulletin. (Inserts can also be found in the sanctuary and education building foyers).

RUMMAGE SALE – We need your donations for a church-wide rummage sale benefiting LPC’S short-term mission trip to Longview Ranch. Sale Date is April 27th at High’s Heaters and Grills (105 Bluebird Lane, Brandon MS, 39042). What we need: donations of gently used clothing, shoes, toys, games, outdoor items, home décor, sporting equipment, small furniture, etc. Donation site will be available at LPC. Please contact John Revell (revjrev@gmail.com) or David Collipp if you have larger items that you wish to donate.

GRADUATING SENIOR BANQUET – Sunday, April 28th, for all Youth and their families. We will gather immediately after the 10:45 am church service in the Education Building Gym. Meat, bread, drinks, and desserts provided. *Everyone needs to bring salad, starch, or vegetables.*

LIFEWALK – We have the opportunity to support the Center for Pregnancy Choices of the Jackson Metro area by participating and fundraising for the 2024 Life Walk. Please join us in helping raise money for this organization. Using the link below, you can register as a walker. There will be a place to select Lakeland Presbyterian Church when you register. If you are unable to walk on Saturday, May 4th, you can still help by fundraising. VBS SAVE THE DATE – Monday, June 10 – Thursday, June 13, from 9:00–11:30 am. Ages 4 (by June 10, 2024) through exiting 5^th graders. Invite a friend, a neighbor, a cousin, a grandchild! Registration opens April 1^st.
