Almost everyone is a disciple of someone or something; and, in many cases, discipleship is easy and fun. However, in this story, we learn that being a disciple of Jesus is incredibly challenging. His followers must deny themselves, take up their crosses and follow Him; but these things are contrary to our human nature. He wants radical faith, so we must count the cost.
