Our Thanksgiving celebrations can easily turn into self-indulgent excess with little or no expression of gratitude for the blessings we have been given. When Jesus described the future separation of the sheep and the goats, He showed us the purpose of the blessings He has given us and how we should express our gratitude for the trust He has put in us.

MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST – Saturday mornings at 7:30 in the LPC Sanctuary kitchen.

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL – Adults meet at 9:30 in the Chapel.

CHOIR – Sunday, June 11th at 4:00.

BRIDAL SHOWER – Sunday, June 11th, at 12 noon for Brittany Wade. (Registered at Emmett Collier Pottery, Crate and Barrel, Mockingbird Marketplace, and Target)

CHILDREN – June 11th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Summer Sunday Nights with Mrs. Tammy.

SIT N SEW – Saturday, June 17th, from 8:30 am – 2:00 pm. Lunch will be provided. Donations of cute ankle socks, cotton fabric (1/2-1 yard = 1 dress), matching 1/2” wide ribbon, and matching double fold bias tape will be welcomed. RSVP to the church office or Renee Austin.

LADIES NIGHT OUT – June 19th, at 6:00 pm at Papito’s in Flowood. Please call the church office to let us know if you are able to attend.

RYM BAGS – We are asking for church members to provide our youth and chaperones with treat bags for their upcoming RYM trip in June/July. Each youth/chaperone will need a reusable bag filled with water/sports drink, snack, candy, notebook, pen and small little happy. We would also love to provide them with a sweet little note to read while on the way. If you would like to provide a bag please contact Hannah Duke. Bags will need to be turned into the church office by June 19th.

WOMEN’S CONFERENCE – August 19th. Registration at 8:30 am and the Conference begins at 9:00 am. Cost is $20.00 and includes Brunch and Lunch. Emily Hartman will be our Guest Speaker, talking to us about “Gospel Conversations: How to Come Alongside Others with the Beauty of the Gospel”.
