OFFICER NOMINATIONS – Forms will be available through July 28th in the foyer and in the bulletins. Please place forms in the wooden nomination box in the Sanctuary foyer.

LADIES PRAYER TIME – Tuesdays, 11:30 am -12:00 pm, in the the FLC. Come join us to pray for specific matters of the Church: Pastoral Search Committee and Church Leadership (Assistant Pastors, Elders, Deacons) and ministries of the church. Please send your prayer request to the church office: (office@lakelandpres.org), or to Valerie Collins (vcollinshrg@bellsouth.net). We can accept requests for Tuesdays if they are sent by close of business the Monday before.

MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST – Saturday mornings at 7:30 in the LPC Sanctuary kitchen.

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL – Sunday mornings at 9:30 am. The Adult class meets in the Chapel.

MUSIC MINISTRY FELLOWSHIP – Sunday, July 21st, 5:00 – 6:30pm, in the gym. All choir members and praise team volunteers and their families are invited to an evening of fellowship. Sandwich platters and drinks provided. Please bring a side or dessert to share.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY – Wednesday, July 24th, from 10:00-2:00 pm. 1st-3rd graders will meet at LPC for Book Talk, Play, and Lunch. We will read and have activities designed around R.C. Sproul’s The Lightlings.

COMMUNION OBSERVED – Sunday, July 28th, during 10:45 a.m. worship.

YOUTH – Sunday, July 28th, at Barnes & Noble in Flowood from about 4:00- 5:00 pm to check out the new store and hang out for a bit. Afterwards, around 6:00 pm, we will eat dinner nearby at the Osaka Japanese restaurant. Coming to Barnes & Noble does not obligate your youth to join us for dinner, and your youth may join us for dinner but not Barnes & Noble. Either way, you will need to send money for dinner and/or for books.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY – Monday, July 29th at 11:00 am, 4th -6th graders will meet at Lost Pizza. After lunch we will go to Party Safari. Pick up by 5:00 pm at LPC. Cost is extra money, if desired, for the Arcade at Party Safari. Reservations must be made with Mrs. Tammy (tdavis@lakelandpres.org) by Saturday, July 27th.

WOMEN’S CONFERENCE – Saturday, August 17th, 9:00 am-12:00 pm, with lunch to follow. Our guest speaker, Barb Martin, LPC, LMFT, will be discussing the topic of Lament. Cost is $10 per person. CALLED CONGREGATIONAL MEETING – SUNDAY, JULY 28th. Immediately after the morning worship service, we will meet for the purpose of officially confirming Pastor Steve’s retirement and dissolving the pastoral relationship with Lakeland PCA. This is a step required by presbytery.
