Luke – Lakeland Presbyterian Church

BABY SHOWER – June 5th, immediately after church. The shower in honor of Natalie and Dusty Lassiter will be held in Room 120 in the Family Life Center. They are registered at Target and Amazon.

VBS 2022 – June 6-9 9:00 – 11:30 am. Items you may donate: adult sized t-shirts, bags of pretzel sticks, large boxes of goldfish crackers, and bags of plain M&M’s. Registration for children who are at least 4 years old by June 1 thru students exiting 5th grade HERE.

SIT N’ SEW – June 11th at 9:00am as we sew children’s dresses for Operation Christmas Shoeboxes. No experience required. Machines provided or you can bring your own. Lunch (Pizza) will be provided. Donations of cotton fabric (1/2-1 yard = 1 dress), matching 1/2” wide ribbon, and matching double fold bias tape will be welcomed. Let us know if you’re coming by contacting the church office or Paula Carruth.

PROSPECTIVE MEMBER CLASS – June 12th Attending does not obligate you to become a member but is the first required step toward membership. Please contact John Duke (jduke@lakelandpres.org) or call the church office if you are interested in finding out more about Lakeland. Nursery provided upon request.

RECIPE CARDS – Blank recipe cards can be found in the foyers of the sanctuary and the education building. The deadline to have them turned in is June 26th. We can’t wait to have a new recipe book filled with everyone’s favorite dishes. Call the church office or turn in a recipe card to reserve your purchase!

RYM BAGS — We are asking for church members to provide our youth and chaperones with treat bags for their upcoming RYM trip in June. Each youth/chaperone will need a reusable bag filled with water/sports drink, snack, candy, notebook, pen and small little happy. We would also love to provide them with a sweet little note to read while on the way. There are 22 youth and 6 chaperones who will need bags. If you would like to provide a bag please call the church office. Bags will need to be turned into the church office by June 19th.
